Physical activity is important for all children and a contributor for good physical and mental health. Unfortunately, children with the need of extra adaptation in activity struggles to find suitable leisure activities. Often these children will end up dropping out of organized sports and activities at an early age causing social distancing and deprivation of health. To keep these children from dropping out of leisure activities its extra important to offer suitable activities. Few sport teams have the competence, time and/or economy to provide suitable sport activities for children who needs extra follow up.
The Project “Alle skal med” is a collaboration between the public health organization Idrett Bergen Sør, Energisenteret at Haukeland University Hospital and Delfana Swim team. The project aims to provide a suitable activity for children who does not settle in organized sports. This activity is pool based and takes place in Energisenteret at Haukeland University Hospital. Due to the projects aim to facilitate health, socialization and lifelong enjoyment of sports and activity, the project is in line with the United Nations sustainability goals. These goals cover nr. 3,10 and 17 which is about good health and wellbeing, reduced inequalities and partnership for the goals.
