At PitStop we work with one goal in mind; to help youth who have dropped out of school and work back into activity. We have developed meeting places where vulnerable youth are seen, heard and gets to be of use in small, safe communities. Here the youth get conversations, activation, work training and teaching; all in one place.

Youth exclusion is a major societal problem, which the public sector alone cannot solve! That is why we at PitStop have developed a collaboration model, where private and voluntary organizations are enabled to help the public sector solve the problem. In this way, we contribute towards that more wise heads and warm hearts, can contribute with sustainable solutions.

In collaboration with Grieg Foundation, we have established a life mastery program called Ready-Set-Go (Klar-Ferdig-Gå) in Bergen. Youth with light to moderate mental health challenges are offered group-based and individual conversations, courses on tools of how to manage their life situation and development of practical skills. Our goal is to motivate youth who have dropped out of school and work, to want to resume either education or work. Equipping them with skills on how to face the challenges that come their way also after the program is ended.

Thanks to the support of the Grieg Foundation, we are now helping 100 in youth with mental health challenges through our programs in Bergen to get back on track of school and work. Together we equip youth for life!
