By offering financial aid to young musicians attending orchestra summer schools, the Norwegian Youth Orchestra Association (UNOF) strive to put their slogan “Orchestra for all” into practice.

Every year the Norwegian Youth Orchestra Association (UNOF) organizes around fifteen summer schools for young orchestra musicians. Our summer schools are important stepping stones in the development of young musicians.

Unfortunately, the cost of attending a summer school can be a burden for families on a tight budget. UNOF is working to providing young musicians with the best available opportunities to develop as musicians. We strive to ensure that economy will not exclude anyone from participating alongside their peers.

The Orkester for alle (orchestra for all) programme offers financial aid to those who need support to be able to participate in our summer schools. Participants may apply through a simple process and receive support based on their perceived need. The process is designed to be simple and to a large extent trust-based.

UNOF is a national association of orchestras for children and young people. We have 5 400 members between age 2 and 26, playing in 175 orchestras all over the country. UNOF organizes fifteen annual summer schools and manages a national talent orchestra, the Norwegian Youth Symphony Orchestra (NUSO).
