About the organization:

Our organization Ready is located at the Gressbanen in the Vestre Aker district. Ready focuses particularly on youth and grassroots levels for both girls and boys, but also on elite levels in alpine skiing, youth football, and bandy. Emphasis on personal development integrated into athletic activities is highly valued at Ready, and the club works daily towards its vision, focusing on promoting the club’s values. Ready’s Vision Ready Football aims to be a place where everyone enjoys and experiences a good football program, tailored to their motivation and skill level. Values Joy of Sport Mastery Inclusion This is the vision we strive for, broken down into the following objectives: Become Norway’s best children and youth club Provide all our children and young people with good conditions to succeed in the world Create a first team with a majority of local players Develop players who progress to higher levels from our first teams Ensure that everyone who has been at Ready has had fun and educational years in sports Recruit as many children as possible to play football at Ready Retain as many members as possible in the club for as long as possible Create a sense of well-being and community throughout the club Foster a strong club spirit among all players, parents, coaches, and leaders This entire plan can be seen as our measures to achieve these goals. Nevertheless, we highlight six main initiatives: High level of competence at all levels and all age groups, both in training, sports staff, and management Prioritize good attitudes among all players, coaches, parents, and leaders Maintain a cohesive “blue thread” in all work from ages 5 to senior level Close follow-up from the sports administration across all age groups Close follow-up from the sports administration of all coaches Offer programs for everyone at all ages

About the project:

Griegakademiet’s project Ready football academy is a program for children, boys and girls, aged 6-12 years old. It is an additional opportunity for devoted football players who wish to train more than just team practices and matches during the football season. The training sessions primarily take place during after-school program hours. Participation in the academy requires participation on the class team during the summer season. In the winter season, Griegakademiet takes over as the football program for children aged 6-12. The sporting content of the training sessions follows Ready's sports plan. The sessions are led by Ready's employed coaches. The groups are divided according to the principle of creating as evenly matched training groups as possible, based on football skills, willingness to learn, and learning ability. The goal of the academy is to develop the Ready player, both as a person and as a football player. In contrast to many other sports clubs, Ready prioritizes human development first. We work purposefully on developing children's sense of responsibility, discipline, and ability to understand the values of a community where everyone accepts each other and focuses on giving rather than receiving. As a result of this work, Ready was awarded Oslo's best "Fair Play Club" and Sports Club of the Year. These are honors we are very proud of.
